Among the many decisions students need to make as they prepare for college is a choice of a computer. It is strongly recommended that all first year students entering Old Dominion University have a notebook computer. While you may bring any notebook that meets ODU's minimum technical specifications, we strongly urge you to consider one of ODU's recommended notebooks. Place an Order:

To order your notebook, contact the Techstore at (757) 683-5611 or at techstore@odu.edu. Tell us which Mobile Monarch Computer model you would like to purchase and we will take it from there. Please note that we offer special promotions that are not always available through Apple and Dell such as a 4 year warranty and the use of a loaner notebook in the event that you ever need service. Please also let us know if you would like to purchase other specific merchandise with your computer and we will contact you to provide pricing information and to get the payment information.

Returns and Refunds:

If you buy your notebook with the standard configuration, you can return the notebook if it's unopened with no restocking fee within 21 calendar days from the pickup date or ship date. If the box is opened and you return it within 21 calendar days of the pickup or ship date, there will be a 25% restocking fee.

If you buy your notebook with a custom configuration, there will be a 50% restocking fee for all returns if the notebook is returned within 21 calendar days from the pickup or ship date.

No returns will be accepted after 21 calendar days from the pickup or ship date.
