Call For Applications Director Of Alumni Relations

Old Dominion University is seeking a dynamic, experienced individual to serve as Director of Alumni Relations. The director formulates and manages programs for and on behalf of ODU’s 85,000 graduates.

Responsibilities include: manage and supervise four employees; provide oversight to the Student Ambassadors; manage budgets, including revenue and expenses for the Alumni Association; develop new initiatives; explore opportunities to strengthen existing programs; work with other university departments to implement programs; and support the Alumni Association, its board and committees.

The Director of Alumni Relations reports to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Admissions.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's degree and five or more years of experience in alumni relations. Proven management skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent leadership skills with proven success in motivating volunteers, and the ability to manage many projects and events simultaneously are essential. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
