While Old Dominion will miss the presence of Rasheed Wright and Okeisha Howard next year, fans were delighted that these two senior leaders displayed some of their best basketball during the 2002-03 season. With only one game remaining on the regular-season schedule, Wright had posted a 14.7 scoring average, second only to senior teammate Ricardo Marsh. Wright, who led the team this season in steals and free throw percentage (.796), went over the 1,000 career points mark at Hofstra Jan. 18. Howard continued her gutsy play her senior year, often driving through much taller opponents for crowd-pleasing layups as well as knocking down three-pointers. With three games left in the regular season, the 5-5 point guard was leading the team in scoring with a 15 points per game average. She also ranked first in free throw percentage (.760) and second in steals. Howard joined the 1,000 Point Club during her junior year.
