ODU Ready

Postsecondary College Experience Program for Persons with Mild to Moderate Intellectually Disabilities.

The ODU CDC is developing a program in partnership with the university’s College of Education to provide postsecondary college experience for persons who are mild to moderate intellectually disabled:  ODU Ready. The program is scheduled to begin the inaugural class in September 2009.  Housing has been arranged on the ODU campus with accommodations that will enable eight students and two resident advisors to live in on-campus housing facilities students have applied to the program.  One commuter student is enrolled in the program.

The skills learned during their college experience.  Students in the graduate programs would receive the empirical preparation needed to make an immediate and significant contribution to the social services system and to persons with disabilities.
