   • ENGL 126 C (Honors: English Composition I) is the honors  equivalent  of ENGL  110
   • ENGL 127C (Honors: English Composition II) is the honors equivalent of ENGL  111 or 131
2. Oral Communication (3 hrs):
   • COMM 126R (HNRS Public Speaking) is the honors equivalent of COMM 101R
3. Mathematics (3 hrs):
   • There are no mathematics courses specifically designed for Honors College students
4. Foreign Languages (0 to 6 hrs): 
   • There are no foreign language courses specifically designed for Honors College students
5. Computer Skills (Various levels of computer knowledge are specified by the major programs in courses developed for this purposes): 
   • CS 126D (HNRS-Computers, An Introduction) is the honors equivalent of CS 101D

B. Perspectives

1.  Fine and Performing Arts (3 hrs): 
   • ARTS 126A (Honors:  Art as Experience) is the honors equivalent of ARTS 122A
   • ARTH 127A (Honors:  Introduction to the Visual Arts) is the honors equivalent of ARTH 121A
   • MUSC 126A (HNRS-Music in History and Culture) also fulfills the general education FPA requirement for Honors College students
2. History (3 or 6 hrs): 
   • HIST 126H (HNRS-US in World Setting) is the honors equivalent of HIST 104H
   • HIST 127H (HNRS-Europe in World Setting) is the honors equivalent of HIST 102H
3. Literature (3 hrs): 
   • ENGL 127L (Honors:  Enjoying Literature) is the honors equivalent of ENGL 112
4. Philosophy (3 hrs): 
   • PHIL 126P (Honors:  Intro to Philosophy) is the honors equivalent of PHIL 110P
   • PHIL 227 (Honors:  World Religions) is the honors equivalent of PHIL 150P
   • PHIL 127 (HONORS:  Science-Knowledge, Reality and Values) may also be used to meet the gen ed perspectives req in philosophy
5. Natural Science and Technology (11 or 12 hrs): 
   • Oceanography 126N and 127N (Honors:  Introductory Oceanography and Lab) are the honors equivalents of OCEAS 106N-107N
   • Physics 126N and 127N (Honors:  Introductory Astronomy and Lab) are the honors equivalents of PHYS 103N-104N
   • Physics 226N and 227N (Honors: University Physics & Lab) are the honors equivalents of PHYS 231N and 232N. (Note:  231N-232N is designed for majors in the physical sciences, engineering, mathematics, and computational sciences.  Students receiving credit for PHYS 231N-232N cannot simultaneously or subsequently receive credit for PHYS 101N-102N or4 PHYS 111N-112N). 
   • BIOL 122N and 123N (Honors Life Science & Lab) are the honors equivalents of BIOL 108N-109N
   • BIOL 126N-127N (Honors:  General Biology) are the honors equivalents of BIOL 115N-116N
   • CHEM 126N-127N (Honors:  Foundations of Chemistry) are the honors equivalents of CHEM 115N-116N (prereq:  one year of high school chemistry; MATH 102M for CHEM 126N).  
6. Social Science (3 or 6 hrs): 
   • CRJS 226S (Honors:  Introduction to Criminology) is the honors equivalent of CRJS 215S
   • ECON  226S (Honors:  Principles of Macroeconomics) and ECON 227S (Honors:  Principles of Microeconomics) are the honors equivalents for ECON 201S and ECON 202S
   • GEOG 126S (Honors: Cultural Geography) is the honors equivalent of GEOG 100S. 
   • POLS  126S (Honors: Introduction to American Politics) is the honors equivalent of POLS 101S
   • POLS 127S (Honors:  Introduction to International Politics) is the honors equivalent of POLS 100S
   • PSYC 226S (Honors: Introduction to Psychology) is the honors equivalent of PSYC 201S
   • PSYC 227S (Honors:  Lifespan Development) is the honors equivalent of PSYC 203S
   • SOC 226S (Honors:  Introduction to Sociology) is the honor equivalent of SOC 201S
   • WMST 226S (Honors:  Women in a Changing World) is the honors equivalent of WMST 201S.
