Classified Positions

The pay system for classified positions is based upon the position's role title and the state's classification system. The position's role title is based upon complexity, results and accountablity stated in classified employee's official position description. Classified employees may view their job descriptions via the online PAPERS system at the following link: jobs.odu.edu/hr

Each year, supervisors and classified employees will review their position descriptions and certify that they are accurate. If your job has been changed significantly for an extended period of time, you should discuss these changes with your supervisor. If appropriate, your supervisor will submit a revised position description on-line to Human Resources for their review.
