ODU Is First in Country to Acquire Powerful, Four-probe Multiview 4000 Microscope

It really is a thing of beauty, a hulking steel device with state-of-the-art switches, dials and probes. Researchers at Old Dominion have just started working with the Four-Probe Multiview 4000 Scanning Probe Microscope (SPM), an incredibly powerful, multifunctional instrument that can view and manipulate samples at the nanoscale. Education College Honors New Class of Darden Fellows

The Darden College of Education on Nov. 18 recognized the achievements of five of its graduates, who have gone "above and beyond their duties," during the Darden Fellow awards luncheon. The annual event is part of the college's observance of American Education Week. (Full Story)

Students bundle up for a chilly "Sleep Out for the Homeless" on Kaufman Mall the night of Nov. 18. The event, designed to draw attention to the plight of the area’s homeless population, was sponsored by the ODU Center for Service and Civic Engagement and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity.
