Hadeel Ayoub, a graduate student in the Hirschfeld School of Dental Hygiene, helps out on Saturdays in the soup kitchen at Norfolk's First Presbyterian Church. "I really enjoy my time serving the less fortunate people, demonstrating love and concern and showing that, whatever your religious beliefs or ethnic background, helping people transcends all cultural barriers," says Ayoub, who is from Saudi Arabia. Gayle McCombs, professor of dental hygiene, introduced her to the volunteer opportunity.
