Hatcher, Salmon Apply for Patent on Algae-Crude Technology

Sustainable, large-scale production of biofuels from algae is the quest of researchers all over the globe, and the technologies that win out are sure to be the ones that are the most streamlined and cost-effective. As part of a month-long focus on healthy living and eating, the ODU Child Development and Child Study centers took their young charges on an outing to the lion statue on Kaufman Mall April 13, where they enjoyed bubbles, chalk, books and lemonade. (Full Story)

Mike Robinson (center), research assistant professor with ODU's Virginia Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Center, and Asad Khattak, professor of civil and environmental engineering, present the findings from a Hampton Roads transportation alternatives simulation study to Sen. Mark Warner during his visit to VMASC on Wednesday. Warner observed various simulations and toured the facility.
