Deborah Giles Named Employee of the Month

Deborah Giles, administrative assistant/office manager for the Department of Political Science and Geography, received the Employee of the Month award for May. President John Broderick and members of the selection committee presented the award during a surprise visit to her office Wednesday morning. (Full Story)

Child Study Center Marks End of Five-Year Grant from Tidewater Children's Foundation

Saturday marked the end of a five-year grant to the Lion's Club Child Study Center at Old Dominion that has yielded many positive results. The $100,000 grant from the Tidewater Children's Foundation was awarded for the establishment of an institute to train directors of child-care programs in Hampton Roads. (Full Story)
