Doctoral Student Amanda Priest Wins EPA Fellowship

Amanda Priest, a doctoral student in chemistry, has been awarded a much sought after Environmental Protection Agency STAR fellowship that will fund her research into atmospheric carbon pollution over the next three years. (Full Story)

Madhavan a Pioneer as a Psychologist on Bay Advisory Panel

Poornima Madhavan, a member of ODU's psychology faculty, has been elected to the Chesapeake Bay Program's Science and Technology Advisory Committee, an elite group made up mostly of oceanographers, marine biologists, engineers, economists and agricultural specialists. (Full Story)

Former Business Student Puts Master's Thesis to the Test

Luke Stephens left Texas in 2010 to pursue a master's in economics at ODU. He soon got wrapped up in his thesis, which had to do with economic modeling around the creation of a neighborhood grocery store. The more he ran the numbers, the more he became convinced his idea would fly. (Full Story)

Society of Wetland Scientists Inducts ODU Biologist as Fellow
