Africa Day to Feature Exhibit, Film, Fashion Show and Discussions ODU will host Africa Day on Oct. 20. "Embracing Multiple Voices and Weaving New Narratives" is the theme of the daylong event, which is an effort to dispel the negative stereotypes about the continent. (Full Story)

The biannual Study Abroad Fair attracted much attention in Webb Center's North Mall on Oct. 4. As a highlight of the fair, which provided information about upcoming programs and courses, drawings were held for $2,500 in scholarships. (Full Story)

Poet Billy Collins signs a copy of one of his books for Peggy Anthony, program support technician for the engineering management department, last Thursday night. Collins, a former U.S. poet laureate, gave readings of his work before a packed room in Webb Center. He spoke as part of the President's Lecture Series and the Literary Festival.
