Gianina Thompson, a master's student in humanities, was a guest speaker at the Hugh L. Vaughan Scholarship Luncheon on Thursday. A 2011 ODU graduate with a bachelor's degree in communication, she is one of two recipients of the Ralph Harrison Jackson and Clara Jackson Kingsbury Memorial Scholarship Endowment. In her remarks, Thompson spoke of the university's scholarship donors as a fan base cheering students on and helping them realize their dreams. The luncheon, which brings donors and scholarship recipients together, is sponsored by the development office.
