Women's Center Sponsors Talk: 'Jumping Mouse and Your Life as Spiritual Quest'

Former Old Dominion adjunct faculty member Pamela Anne Bro, the author of "WomanQuest: A Trail Guide to Life," will give a talk titled "Jumping Mouse and Your Life as Spiritual Quest" at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, in the Cape Charles Room of Webb Center.

Sponsored by the Women's Center, this free interactive event will introduce the Lakota Indian figure of Jumping Mouse, "who will inspire you to see your life as a holy feminist adventure," Bro says. "No matter what your spiritual background, come explore ways to claim your power and offer your gifts to this precious hurting world."

Bro, who holds a doctorate in theology and anthropology, has done field work with the Lakota Indians and mindfulness training with Buddhist Thich Nhat Hanh. She founded and pastors Living Waters Sanctuary, a universal Christian community in Virginia Beach where she also engages in spiritual counseling, public speaking and consulting for the film project "White Buffalo: An American Prophecy, 2012."
