Runte addresses university's response to state budget cuts

President Roseann Runte told a packed room in Webb Center that, while there is good news in the fact that the latest state budget cuts to Old Dominion were not as bad as they could have been, employee layoffs and program cuts will be unavoidable. The extent of these measures will not be known until after the Board of Visitors meets Oct. 21 to consider a university proposal for a mid-year tuition increase.
