| Roseann Runte completes busy first week as president Roseann Runte officially assumed office July 1 as Old Dominion's seventh president, succeeding James V. Koch. Formerly the president of Victoria University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Runte brings 19 years of experience in higher education to the presidency. A native of New York, she holds three degrees in French - a doctorate and master's from the University of Kansas and a bachelor's from the State University of New York at New Paltz.
