December pomp and circumstance
Gary Crossman, university marshal, leads the procession to the Ted Con-stant Convocation Center for ODU’s Dec. 17 commencement. Approximately 1,700 students were eligible to graduate. At left, Angela West of Chesapeake joins fellow graduates and faculty on the floor of the Constant Center. West, who has cerebral palsy, earned a bachelor’s degree in recreation and tourism studies, with a minor in special education. Quoted in a Virginian-Pilot story about West, ODU’s director of disability services, Sheryn Milton, said, “What she’s done has been amazing.”

Four faculty members receive Univ. Professor designation
Provost Thomas Isenhour recently announced University Professor status for four Old Dominion faculty members, effective at the start of the 2007-08 academic year. Full story
