Biodiesel tutorial
U.S. Senate candidate Mark Warner, pictured at left being greeted by Acting President John R. Broderick, and U.S. Rep. Thelma Drake, above, touring a lab with Patrick Hatcher, made visits to the campus on July 2 and 7, respectively, to meet with Hatcher, Batten Endowed Chair in physical sciences, and members of his team to learn more about their research on converting algae into biodiesel fuel. Hatcher is executive director of the Virginia Coastal Energy Research Consortium.
