Fall festival fun
Three-legged races, pumpkin painting and cornhole games were among the many activities taking place on Monarch Way the afternoon of Oct. 26, when the ODU Real Estate Foundation and University Village merchants sponsored a fall festival for young and old. Children in costumes added to the fun, as youngsters had a chance to take part in some early trick-or-treating at the Village shops and restaurants. A University Village holiday festival featuring costumed carolers, plus free hot chocolate, cider and cookies, is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6.

VMASC contract with JFCOM worth $35 million
over six years
Old Dominion’s Virginia Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Center (VMASC) has been awarded a contract worth up to $35.6 million to provide engineering and technical services, as well as faculty-student services, to the Joint Forces Command (JFCOM) of the U.S. military.
