Tax Time is Here: It's tax time and EVERYONE on a nonimmigrant student visa must do something. Unless you have been specifically told that you are a tax resident, you MUST request a CINTAX password.
$5,000 for Tuition...Apply Now: The International Student Leadership Award is a $5,000 scholarship for undergraduate international students. Do you meet the criteria? Check out the application for details. Good luck and we look forward to your submission!
Prepare for Summer & Fall Registration: Check your holds now...not later, when you're rushing to get in classes! Keep in mind that it takes offices varied lengths of time to remove holds, so it is key to plan ahead and not get stuck waiting for holds to be resolved.
Graduating? Family Coming for the Ceremony?: We have received several questions lately about students who are graduating in May and want family or friends to come to the ceremony. Please note that ISSS does not write the letter of invitation; you, as the student, will need to write it. We have a web page to assist you with creating the letter.
Congratulations to Renata!: Many thanks to all our students who entered the Traveling Monarchs Contest; we got some fantastic submissions! The name drawn from the randomly from the entries received was Renata Giannini. Congratulations, Renata! All of the photos submitted are on display on the main door of the ISSS office in Spong 214. Come by to see your fellow international students' travel photos!

Optional Practical Training (OPT) Applications: If you are graduating in May 2011 and are on an F-1 visa, the time to think about OPT is n-o-w! Be sure to attend a mandatory workshop and submit your application by--at the latest--Friday, 3 June 2011. For a refresher on OPT and the entire workshop, visit the presentation handout.
