Downed Transmission Line Causes Limited Power Outages On Campus

Several buildings on campus have experienced sporadic power outages this morning. According to Dominion Power, a transmission line was down near the Lafayette River Bridge between 8:30 - 10 a.m. this morning. Power has been restored but some areas may still be affected owing to tripped circuit breakers or power surges.

Facilities Management personnel are conducting a building to building inventory. Any offices experiencing continued problems should notify that office by calling 683-4626.
