ODU Reaches Out "Neighbor to Neighbor" With Local Community

The Office of Student Affairs is sponsoring a community-building event Wednesday, Sept. 16, to connect Old Dominion University off-campus students with their neighbors in Lambert's Point.

The "Neighbor 2 Neighbor" gathering, scheduled for 4-6 p.m. outside First Baptist Church, 1268 W. 38th St., is an opportunity for the permanent residents of Lambert's Point and ODU students who live in the neighborhood to become acquainted.

The event will feature free food, games and entertainment. Members of the Norfolk police and fire departments, along with officers from the ODU police department, will attend and offer safety tips.

For more information call the Office of Student Affairs at 683-3442.
