NOMINATIONS SOUGHT FOR ANNUAL RESEARCH ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
Nominations are being sought by the ODU Office of Research for the annual faculty Research Achievement Award, which will be presented at the 2006 Research Exposition on April 5.
The award is presented each spring to a tenured member of the faculty who has been at the university for at least five years and who has exhibited consistent excellence in research efforts. The winner gets a plaque and a $1,000 prize.
Administrators and faculty members may nominate candidates for the award. Nomination packages should include six copies of the nominating statement and resume of the nominee. The statement should outline the significance of the nominee's research and may have supporting documents attached.
Nominating packages should be sent no later than Feb. 6 to the Office of Research, 2035 Hughes Hall.
The 2006 Research Exposition, which is being presented together with Norfolk State University and Eastern Virginia Medical School, will be at Ted Constant Convocation Center on the ODU campus. Information about the event, including registration of research posters and demonstrations, can be found at http://www.odu.edu/ao/research/index.html.
