Tickets available Monday to ODU faculty, staff & students for Obama event
Sponsors of President Barack Obama's visit to Old Dominion University next week will distribute 1,400 tickets to ODU faculty, staff and students at noon Monday, Oct. 26.
The distribution will take place on the east side of the 49th Street parking garage (Football Garage E) next to Foreman Field. Tickets are available one per person with a valid ODU ID and will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.
No one will be permitted to stand in line prior to 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 26. Any individuals who form a line earlier than the 10 a.m. start will be dispersed by police. The line will be single file and holding a place for another individual is not allowed. Individuals who cut in line or allow others to cut in line will be removed from the line and will need to go to the back of the line.
President Barack Obama will visit ODU's Ted Constant Convocation Center Tuesday, Oct. 27, as part of a series of campaign support stops prior to the upcoming November elections.
Sponsored and paid for by the Democratic nominee for governor Creigh Deeds campaign, the event will take place Tuesday afternoon, with specific times still to be announced. The event is free and open to the public, but tickets are required for admission.
Additional details on event parking, street closures and start time will be posted on the ODU web site as soon as they are finalized.
For questions or concerns about event tickets, call the Deeds campaign office at 571-303-2260.
