DEADLINE FOR CVC CONTRIBUTIONS IS TODAY

With the $125,000 goal in sight, coordinators for Old Dominion University's participation in the Combined Virginia Campaign are encouraging faculty and staff members who have not yet made their pledge to do so by the Dec. 15 deadline.

To date, contributions total $111,236, or 89 percent of the university's campaign goal, which ODU traditionally meets each year. The campaign benefits hundreds of local, regional, national and international charitable organizations, including area United Way agencies, and donors can target their gift to one or more organizations. Donations may be made via payroll deduction.

Employees who have not received a pledge card may request one by calling either Lynda Shirk, campaign treasurer, at 683-3131, or Karen Travis, campaign coordinator, at 683-5759.
