CHILD STUDY CENTER HOLIDAY DRIVE TO BENEFIT BATTERED WOMEN'S SHELTER
Instructors at Old Dominion University's Child Study Center are sponsoring their sixth annual holiday collection of new or gently used items for a local battered women's shelter. The drive, which runs from Nov. 30 to Dec. 14, seeks donations of toys, clothing, bath products, household goods, blankets and canned goods.
The drive not only assists families in the Hampton Roads area during the holiday season but it also teaches the children at the Child Study Center about giving. The children take an active role in the project by decorating and wrapping many of the gifts received.
Items may be dropped off through Wednesday, Dec. 14, in a box located inside the entrance to the Child Study Center at 45th Street and Hampton Boulevard. For more information, call Cleteus Smith or Catherine Smith at 683-5465.
