ODU Retains Services of Consultant to Assist in Search for Health Sciences Dean

James A. Davis, senior consultant with Academic Search Inc., will work with a search committee chaired by Oktay Baysal, dean of the Frank Batten College of Engineering and Technology at Old Dominion University, to assist with the search for a new dean of ODU's College of Health Sciences.

Andrew Balas will step down as dean of health sciences on July 25 to return to the faculty of the School of Community and Environmental Health. "I thank Dr. Balas for his years of service as dean in the College of Health Sciences," said Provost Carol Simpson. "We have engaged Academic Search Inc. to assist us in recruiting a top-notch dean who will lead the continued upward growth of the college."

The search committee members will be announced on the university website and periodic updates on the search will be provided.
