Bagranoff to take position at University of Richmond
Nancy Bagranoff, the dean of Old Dominion University's College of Business and Public Administration, has announced that she will step down from her post to take the position of dean of the Robins School of Business at the University of Richmond in August.
"I want to take this opportunity to thank Nancy for her years of service to the college and to the university," said ODU Provost Carol Simpson. "We will be sorry indeed to see her leave ODU. I will be working with the college to identify an interim dean and we will be opening a national search for a new dean of the College of Business and Public Administration as soon as possible."
Bagranoff was appointed dean of ODU's business college in 2003. During her tenure, the college has maintained its accreditation with the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, seen significant growth in student numbers, strengthened connections with the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce and with numerous local and regional businesses, and experienced substantial growth in faculty scholarship.
Most recently, Bagranoff oversaw the development of a Global Executive M.B.A. program and brought additional national recognition to ODU through her presidency of the American Accounting Association this past year.
