Credit Suisse Securities Executive to Speak April 28 at ODU Economics Club Luncheon

Paul Staneski, the head of derivatives solutions and training for Credit Suisse Securities Boston in New York, will be the guest speaker at the Old Dominion University Economics Club of Hampton Roads Luncheon on Wednesday, April 28.

Co-sponsored by ODU's College of Business and Public Administration, the luncheon will begin at noon at the Norfolk Marriott Waterside Hotel. The cost is $35 for nonmembers. Due to limited space, reservations are required and may be made by calling 683-5138.

Prior to joining Credit Suisse in 2004, Staneski spent 10 years at UBS, first as a statistical analyst in quantitative research and then as an instructor in financial markets education. He has a degree in economics from the College of William & Mary and a doctorate in applied mathematics from ODU, where he taught statistics for six years in the business college. Prior to his academic life, Staneski was an equity research analyst and portfolio strategist at Virginia National Bank (now part of Bank of America).

The Economics Club of Hampton Roads is an organization for business and government executives and community leaders who share an interest in the practical implications of economic principles, trends and events. It was established in 1991 as a community service by ODU, and is administered by the dean of the College of Business and Public Administration, Nancy A. Bagranoff.
