Deadline Extended for NASA Langley Fall Research Internships
The application deadline for fall aerospace research scholar internships at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton has been extended to May 19, according to the Virginia Space Grant Consortium, which manages the program. The program website is at http://www.nianet.org/larss.
This program provides hands-on paid research experiences for qualified undergraduate and graduate students at NASA Langley. In addition, it serves as a major pipeline program for further opportunities with NASA. The fall session is a 15-week internship.
Eligibility requirements include United States citizenship; rising junior and above, unless bridge qualified - see website; 3.0 - 4.0 cumulative GPA; and having a study major of interest to NASA. These areas include science, technology, engineering (most fields, particularly aeronautical, electrical, chemical, and mechanical), mathematics, materials science, atmospheric science and other aerospace-related fields, as well as other majors that lend support to NASA's mission such as accounting, business, public administration, English, journalism, history, photography and media arts.
