ODU FIELD HOCKEY TEAM TO MAKE 16TH NCAA FINAL FOUR APPEARANCE FRIDAY

The Lady Monarch field hockey team takes another step towards a national championship when it faces Maryland in ODU's 16th NCAA Final Four appearance at 5 p.m. Friday at the University of Louisville's Trager Stadium.

The day's other semifinal match-up features Duke and Wake Forest with the winners of each game heading to the championship finale on Sunday at 12:30 p.m.

The Lady Monarchs and Terps split during the regular season with Maryland getting past ODU, 2-1, in overtime in Norfolk, but the Lady Monarchs avenged their loss with a 4-1 victory in College Park.
