ODU Prof to Discuss Public-Private Partnerships on 'HearSay' Program June 2
Gilbert Yochum, professor of economics at Old Dominion University, will be a guest on WHRV-FM's (89.5) "HearSay with Cathy Lewis" from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, for a discussion about public-private partnerships including the Virginia Information Technologies Agency, bridge and tunnel projects and management of the ports in Hampton Roads.
Also appearing as a guest will be Richard Norment, executive director of the National Council on Public-Private Partnerships.
Yochum, who joined the university in 1975, is the director of ODU's Economic Forecasting Project. He currently serves as a member of the Governor's Advisory Board of Economists for the commonwealth of Virginia. He has been an economic consultant to over 50 companies and government agencies and has provided professional testimony before both federal and state government commissions. He is author or co-author of more than 80 professional journal publications and research monographs. In addition to citations in professional journals, Yochum's work has been cited publicly in more than 130 newspaper, magazine and wire reports throughout the U.S. including the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, the Dow Jones newswire, Associated Press and USA Today.
