U.S. PORT DIRECTOR TO SPEAK AT ODU MARITIME INSTITUTE SERIES AT NAUTICUS
Mark Laria, port director for the United States Customs Service will speak as part of Old Dominion University's Maritime Institute luncheon series Monday, Nov. 17.
Sponsored by the International Maritime, Ports and Logistics Management Institute at Old Dominion and the ODU Student Propeller Club, the event scheduled for noon to 1:15 p.m. at Nauticus costs $20. All proceeds support the Student Propeller Club.
The luncheon series is a joint effort between ODU and Nauticus to focuses on pressing issues for senior executives in maritime commerce. This new venture will bridge the gap between academia and industry with special emphasis on port security and sustainable economic development.
