STUDENT GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS TODAY
The Old Dominion University Student Government Association (SGA) elections will be held from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9.
Both Tiffany Ward, who is running for the office of vice president of internal affairs, and Aaron Jackson, who is running for student senate, are running unopposed.
Probationary senators Christopher Kakas and Eddie Flack are up for confirmation to full senators.
Additionally, three referendum items are on the ballot. The first item includes updates to the SGA constitution, which seek expansion of powers and updated duties for officers. The second referendum centers on a free lawyer service to assist students with legal matters. The final referendum proposes the creation of a safety ride program for students.
