Old Dominion University's College of Business and Public Administration has relaunched the doctoral program in business administration with a concentration in strategic management.

The degree, which was first offered at Old Dominion in 1989, currently has 40 students enrolled in the finance and marketing concentrations.

While strategic management also was offered when the program began, as interest and resources later waned, the university stopped offering that concentration. "Today we truly have the resources in management to fully equip this program," said William Judge, who will oversee the program.

Judge, who was appointed to the position of E.V. Williams Endowed Chair of Strategic Leadership this summer, has 20 years' experience in researching and designing curricula in business management, strategic management, environmental management, business ethics and strategic leadership.

Two students are currently enrolled in the strategic management concentration, and Judge expects many more as word about the program spreads. "We could not be more delighted to offer such a dynamic program to students," he said.
