Visiting Artist 'Mr. Imagination' to Give Free Lecture, Workshop at ODU Oct. 2
Gregory Warmack, known as Mr. Imagination, will give a gallery lecture and conduct a free workshop as part of his visiting artist residency Saturday, Oct. 2, at Old Dominion University.
Warmack is a contemporary self-taught artist who transforms everyday found objects, such as discarded paintbrushes, brooms and bottle-caps, into powerful, evocative works. He will present a lecture at 10 a.m. at ODU's Baron and Ellin Gordon Art Galleries, followed by a community workshop from noon to 4 p.m. in the university's art education studios.
Both the lecture and workshop are free and open to the public; however, registration is required. To register go to http://mrimaginationodu.eventbrite.com.
Workshops and programs for teachers will be held Sept. 30 and Oct. 1
