LIBRARY EXPANDING DOCUMENT DELIVERY SERVICE
Perry Library is expanding the availability of the UnCover document delivery service to include on-campus faculty, and distance learning students and faculty. UnCover is a commercial document delivery company which supplies articles from its database of nearly 9 million articles from more than 18,000 journal titles.
Through the Perry Library's arrangement with UnCover Co., faculty may order articles at no charge if the total listed price, including the copyright fee, is $25 or less.
From the library's Web page, www.lib.odu.edu, click on Library Services and beside the second entry, "I need something the library doesn't own ..." click on UnCover for Faculty Use.
Faculty can also select "UnCover -- Faculty Use" from the quick links menu at the bottom of the Web page. The material is delivered directly to the requestor via fax.
Some articles may be available in electronic format that can be downloaded as PDF files. Requests for articles from journal titles and volumes in the library collection will not be accepted by the UnCover ordering system. These articles may be ordered through Interlibrary Loan Services using the request form in UnCover, or the user may buy the articles directly from
The UnCover database of articles is strongest in the science, technology and medical areas, but the social sciences and the humanities are also represented.
