Flags Ordered Flown at Half-Staff on Wednesday, Oct. 6
Virginia Gov. Robert F. McDonnell has ordered the U.S. and Virginia flags be flown at half-staff on Wednesday, Oct. 6, in respect and memory of four U.S. servicemen that have lost their lives.
McDonnell has ordered the flag-lowering - which will be between sunrise and sunset on October 6 - in honor of U.S. Navy Lt. Brendan J. Looney, U.S. Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer David B. McLendon, U.S. Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Adam O. Smith, and U.S. Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Denis C. Miranda.
The Old Dominion University Flag will also be lowered.
