ODU INVITES COMMUNITY TO THIRD ANNUAL 'ILLUMINATION: A HOLIDAY TRADITION'

Hampton Roads residents are invited to join the Old Dominion University community for the third annual "Illumination: A Holiday Tradition" at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 2 on Kaufman Mall.

Sponsored by Old Dominion's President Roseann Runte, the free event will feature the grand illumination of a campus wreath, garlands and trees on Kaufman Mall in front of Webb University Center. The Old Dominion Concert Choir will perform under the direction of Nancy Klein, associate professor of music, music education and choral activities.

All attendees are asked to bring a canned good for the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia, which will be exchanged for a candle to be lit during the illumination ceremony. Light refreshments will follow the program.
