Expert on Logistics, Maritime Policy and Transport Economics to Speak at Economics Club Luncheon Nov. 17
Trevor D. Heaver, professor emeritus in the Centre for Transportation Studies at the University of British Columbia, will be the guest speaker at the Old Dominion University Economics Club of Hampton Roads Luncheon on Wednesday, Nov. 17.
Heaver has conducted extensive research in the areas of maritime and international logistics, maritime policy and transport economics. He has served on advisory committees for both public and private entities and has worked in Argentina, Australia, China, Europe and South Korea.
Co-sponsored by ODU's College of Business and Public Administration and the Hampton Roads Community Foundation, the luncheon begins at noon at the Norfolk Marriott Waterside Hotel. The cost is $35 for nonmembers. Due to limited space, reservations are required and may be made by calling 683-5138.
The Economics Club of Hampton Roads is an organization for business and government executives and community leaders who share an interest in the practical implications of economic principles, trends and events. It was established in 1991 as a community service by ODU, and is administered by the interim dean of the business college, Gilbert R. Yochum.
