Portions of 43rd Street to be Closed Starting Dec. 13
Portions of the eastbound lanes on 43rd Street (those closest to the gravel parking lots going toward Hampton Boulevard) will be closed beginning Monday, Dec. 13. The closure will facilitate the sewer line work that is being done in support of new-housing construction along the south side of 43rd Street.
Different sections of 43rd Street will be closed at different times, but the construction work should be finished and the roadway completely open by mid-February, according to Slade McCalip, director of parking and transportation services.
