ODU Poet Tim Seibles To Appear on 'With Good Reason'
Tim Seibles, associate professor of creative writing at Old Dominion University, will be a guest on an upcoming, pre-Christmas "With Good Reason" episode on WHRV radio in Hampton Roads.
Seibles will appear with ethnomusicologist Ann Rasmussen of the College of William and Mary, conductor John Guthmiller of Virginia Commonwealth University, and vocalist Lisa Edwards-Burrs of Virginia State University, sharing their favorite songs and why the music resonates with them this time of year. The broadcast is a repeat, and will air Thursday, Dec. 23 on WHRV 89.5 at 12:30 p.m.
An award-winning poet, Seibles has had poems published in the journals New Letters, Red Brick Review, Dark Eros, Ploughshares, New England Review, The Artful Dodge, and others, and has edited an anthology of poetry called "In Search of Color Everywhere."
"With Good Reason" is produced for the Virginia Higher Education Broadcasting Consortium by the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities and is broadcast in partnership with public radio stations in Virginia and Washington, D.C.
