THREE ALUMNI WIN HOUSE OF DELEGATE SEATS

Three Old Dominion alumni won General Assembly seats in the Nov. 2 statewide elections, including newcomer Phil Larrabee (M.S.Ed. '80), a Republican from Poquoson.

Incumbents Ken Plum '65 (D) of Reston, Va., and Harry R. "Bob" Purkey '68 (R) of Virginia Beach won re-election to the House of Delegates representing the 36th and 82nd districts, respectively.

Larrabee, an ophthalmologist, defeated two opponents in his race for the 91st District House of Delegates seat, garnering 39 percent of the ballots cast.

Both Plum, who ran against two candidates, and Purkey, who faced one challenger, received comfortable margins of victory in their races.
