CULTURAL EXPLOSION BRINGS TOGETHER NEARLY 50 STUDENT GROUPS NOV. 10
Nearly 50 student organizations, fraternities and sororities have teamed up to present "Cultural Explosion," a Programs All Weekend (PAW) event that will be held from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10 in Webb University Center.
Foods from all over the world will be served beginning at 5:30 p.m. and a cultural music, dance, fashion and spoken word show will begin at 6 p.m. Sponsored by the Office of Multi-Cultural Student Services, the event is free and open to the Old Dominion University community.
Participating student organizations include the African Caribbean Society, 3-Dimensional, AED Pre-Med Honor Society, Alpha Kappa Psi, Alpha Phi Alpha, Alpha XI Delta, Arab Student Community, Asian Pacific American Student Union, Balkan Society, Beta Beta Beta, Black Data Processors Association, Black Student Alliance, College Republicans, D.E.S.T.I.N.E.D (Determined Educated Sisters Taking Initiative N Encouraging Dreams), Delta Sigma Theta, Ebony Impact Gospel Choir, Filipino American Student Association, Freshman Class Council, Full Spectrum, Hellenic Society, Honor Council, Indian Students Association, International Balkan Society, Lambda Omicron Chi, Linguistics Awareness Club, Minds About Progress, Model United Nations Society, Monarch Dance Team, Mu Omicron Gamma, Muslim Student Association, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice, Ocean & Earth Science Club, ODU Out, Operation Smile, Phi Beta Sigma, PIKE, Pre-Health Club, Public Relations Club, Sigma Lambda Upsilon Senoritas, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, Society of I.T Professionals, South Asian Cultural Association, Student Activities Council, Student Ambassadors, Student Government Association, Sword of the Spirit, T.R.U.S.T (To Respect, Unite, Support and Teach), The F.O.R.E.I.G.N.E.R.S, Theta Chi, Urban Street Dance Association and Zeta Phi Beta.
