An exhibit honoring the work of internationally known composer Adolphus Hailstork, Cultural Leaureate for the Commonwealth of Virginia and professor of music at Old Dominion University, will be on display at the University Libraries' Diehn Composers Room Nov. 1 through Jan. 6 at ODU.

"The Lion's Roar: Adolphus Hailstork in Perspective" will feature an overview of Hailstork's compositions and accomplishments from the past decade, including manuscripts, scores, sound recordings, awards, work sketches, correspondence, programs, posters and photos. His most recent composition, "The Lion's Roar," was written in honor of Old Dominion University's 75th anniversary and premiered Sept. 20 at the anniversary celebration kick-off on Kaufman Mall.

The Diehn Composers room is located in room 189 of the Diehn Fine and Performing Arts Center at the corner of 49th Street and Elkhorn Avenue. Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday; and 1-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
