Delta Sigma Lambda, an organization devoted to providing support and encouragement to adult women returning to college, will hold an orientation meeting Tuesday, Oct. 29. The event will be held at 7:15 p.m. in the Women's Center conference room in Webb University Center.

The organization began in 1956 as a small group of mature women students. The purpose of the original "Twenty-Five Plus" Club was to provide encouragement and moral support to each other as a small minority group among the younger, traditionally aged students on campus. Today's objectives continue to be to provide support and encouragement as well as networking, leadership opportunities and community service. Our active alumnae, which consist of many of the original members, also provide scholarships for women students over the age of 25.
