STANDARDS OF LEARNING TO BE DISCUSSED AT OCT. 23 FORUM

Mickey VanDerwerker of Parents Across Virginia United to Reform SOLs (PAVURSOL) will discuss "The Standards of Learning Debate" at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, for the Teacher Talk Discussion Forum.

Sponsored by the graduate students of the early childhood, speech-language pathology and special education program, the free program will be held in the Parent Resource Room of the Lions Child Study Center.

PAVURSOL is a grassroots parents organization that is concerned about the implementation of the SOLs in Virginia public schools.
