YETIV TO DISCUSS OIL PRICES ON WITH GOOD REASON NOV. 26
Steve Yetiv, Old Dominion University professor of political science and geography, will be a guest on the radio program "With Good Reason" Sunday, Nov. 26.
A showcase for the research and expertise of faculty at Virginia's higher education institutions, "With Good Reason" can be heard in Hampton Roads on WHRV-FM (89.5) at 6 a.m. It can be heard live on the Web at www.whro.com.
Yetiv, an expert in Middle Eastern affairs, will be a guest along with Nathan Busch, of Christopher Newport University, on the program entitled Crude Awakenings.
This summer, oil prices reached record high levels and many wondered whether we were headed towards another 1973-style oil shock. Yetiv believes the security of oil supply has been more stable from the 1970s to the present, but oil prices are demonstrably more volatile over time due to the rise of oil trading markets.
