OLD DOMINION PROFESSOR ON "WITH GOOD REASON" TODAY

Old Dominion University professor of civil engineering David Basco will be a guest on the radio program "With Good Reason" Monday, Oct. 18.

Basco will discuss the phenomenon of beach erosion and explain the science of shifting sands, suggesting that much-criticized sea walls and jetties do not accelerate erosion.

"With Good Reason," a weekly show highlighting the expertise of Virginia's college and university faculty, airs at 1:30 p.m. Mondays on WHRV-FM.
