TOWN-N-GOWN TO HOST A PUBLIC TALK BY PROFESSOR GARY COPELAND NOV. 4
Gary Copeland, professor of physics at Old Dominion University, will be the guest speaker at the ODU Town-N-Gown Association meeting Saturday, Nov. 4.
The talk, which is free and open to the public, will be held at 2 p.m. in the Board room of Webb University Center.
Copeland will discuss the search for new planets moving around stars other than the sun and explain methods astronomers and physicists use to find plants and describe some of the results in this field.
Town-N-Gown is an independent, informal association of men and women dedicated to developing a mutual understanding between Old Dominion and the various civilian and military communities of Hampton Roads.
